Boeing F/A18 Hornet

The Hornet single-seat fighter flew for the first time in prototype form on 18 November, 1978 . The production version was the F/A18-A. A small number of pre-production aircraft, each with Two General Electric F404-GE-400 low-bypass, turbofan engines with afterburner. were built. The Production model was introduced on 7 January, 1983 and the Blue Angels received thier first aircraft in the summer of 1986
